MDOR for North Bethesda Traffic Tickets

Montgomery County participates in Maryland Online Resolutions. This free program lets North Bethesda residents resolve eligible traffic tickets online at mdor.courts.state.md.us. You can plead guilty with an explanation, request a payment plan, or ask for a trial date without going to court. The tool works for payable traffic citations only. Must-appear violations and camera tickets are excluded from MDOR.

MDOR does not extend your 30-day response deadline. You still have to act within 30 days of the citation date, whether you use MDOR or one of the traditional methods. If the deadline passes without a response, the court notifies the MVA under Transportation Code 16-303. The MVA can then flag your license for suspension. MDOR is just a more convenient way to respond to a North Bethesda traffic ticket within the same time frame everyone else gets.

Pay North Bethesda Traffic Tickets

North Bethesda residents can pay traffic tickets through the LexisNexis payment portal online. A convenience fee applies. Call 1-800-492-2656 to pay by phone. Mail a check or money order to the District Court Traffic Processing Center, P.O. Box 6676, Annapolis, MD 21401. Or visit the Rockville or Silver Spring courthouse to pay in person at the clerk window.

Must-appear violations like DUI under Transportation Code 21-902 cannot be paid online or by mail. You must show up in court. If your fines total $150 or more, Form DCA-131 lets you set up a payment plan with 10 monthly installments. Plans can only be paid by mail or in person at the courthouse. Online and MVA kiosk payments do not work for installment plans.

Montgomery County also runs speed camera and red light camera programs throughout the North Bethesda area. Speed camera fines are $40 and red light camera fines are $75. These are civil citations. They carry no points and do not show up on Maryland Judiciary Case Search. Camera tickets are handled by the county, not the District Court.

Note: You can pay a North Bethesda traffic ticket at any District Court in Maryland, not just at the Rockville or Silver Spring courthouses.
